2 wineries, 1 enthusiastic star-studded presenter and public storytelling under the night sky!

Join Jovinea Cellars and Spiral Rock Vineyard (two of the Lewis-Clark Valley Wineries) and Jessica Jones of the Palouse Astronomical Society for an evening event of Love in the Stars, public storytelling, and wine!

Jessica Jones will start the evening off with her presentation “Love You To The Moon and Back”, which will combine the enchantment of fictional Greek/Roman myths with scientific night sky education. Jessica currently presents at the WSU planetarium, is a member of the Palouse Astronomical Society, and works at the Palouse Discovery Science Center in Pullman, WA.

Following Jessica’s presentation. we invite the public to tell their own stories based on the theme of “Stories in the Stars”. Each story can be up to 7 minutes in length and may be either an original piece or credited to the original author. All presenters will receive either a free glass of wine or artisan chocolate (any presenters under age 21 will be given chocolate).

Free samples of wine will be offered and it will be available for purchase by the glass (Spiral Rock wines will also be available for purchase by the bottle).

Located north of Lewiston, Idaho (towards Genesee) on the Old Spiral Highway. This event will still proceed if the skies are cloudy (the “Snow Moon” occurring around this time will likely take away from some night sky viewing opportunity as it is). However, it may be rescheduled if the weather is downright miserable. We will have a few fire pits and propane heaters available, but dress warm and bring a sleeping bag/blankets/hand warmers to snuggle in. This event is family friendly and all ages are welcome to attend.
