Submit your 5-Line Leap Day Limerick to Jovinea Cellars for a chance to win a gift basket (no wine will be included in the gift basket so any age can enter to win). Limericks can be submitted starting at 12:00 am on Saturday, February 15th through 11:59 pm on Friday, February 28th. All Limericks will be posted anonymously and opened to the public for judging (both visitors in the Tasting Room and electronically via our website) from 11:00 am through 7:00 pm on February 29th.

Rules:

1) Limerick must be an original work and content must be limited to PG.

2. Limerick must contain one of the following words: “leap” “frog” “February” or “29”

3. Limerick needs to be 5 lines long with the last letter of each line following the patter A,A,B,B,A (lines 1,2 & 5 rhyme and lines 3 & 4 rhyme). Generally, lines 1-2-5 are 9-10 syllables long and lines 3-4 or 6-7 syllables long.

4. Limit of 3 submissions per person.

When submitting your Limerick, please provide your first/last name, email and phone number, along with the subject “Leap Day Limerick”

In Person: Drop them off to the Tasting Room during our normal business hours (Wed-Fri 1:00-6:00, Sat 11:00-7:00).
